Department of Forest and Environment is doing a lot of activities through the medium of Eco Clubs for the conservation of Environment Center for Environment Education, Ahmedabad has conferred the Best District Award, 2013 (State Level) to Sabarkantha District for praiseworthy activities by Eco Clubs.
Sabarkantha District has done many activities for environment protection and conservation through primary and secondary schools, afforestation in village as well as urban areas, steps to curb waste of natural resources line water and scarcity prevention, disposal of bio-medical waste, and protection of forest and wild life.
